Brain Surgery in The Way of Things

In my new novel, The Way of Things, somebody is going around beating up realtors. Anna Duncan, Colleen's best friend, is victim one, and although she survives her attack, she suffers a head trauma and doctors have to drill into her skull to relieve pressure on the brain. I needed a realistic timeline for when she would be released from hospital, and while searching for that information, came across this article. Very readable, and interesting. Hopefully none of you will ever need this knowledge except in novels!
